Dr. Kaitlyn Pellerine, Owner & Chiropractor
Dr. Kaitlyn graduated Cum Laude from New York Chiropractic College and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She is a native Haligonian and received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. These studies sparked her interest in biomechanics, the human body and a holistic approach to healthcare.
Dr. Kaitlyn has a decade of experience as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, specializing in aerobics and weight training. She received clinical experience at many locations during her internship in Buffalo, NY serving the underprivileged, geriatric, general and student populations. In addition to treating adults with various chiropractic techniques, Kaitlyn’s professional practice will focus on maternal health during pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic.
Between her undergraduate and doctorate degrees, she traveled for one year to Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. She is passionate about educating her patients on the importance of a healthy nervous system. During her free time she enjoys hiking, swimming, playing music and spending time with her husband, Dr. Steve, and beautiful twins, Hannah and Hunter.

Nicole Gaudet, Office Manager
Nicole started working at Sound in 2015, and has become known as the friendly face that welcomes our patients to our office.
Prior to working at Sound, Nicole worked in the hospitality service industry for 10 years. In 2014, Nicole graduated with honours from NSCC’s Tourism and Hospitality Management program and in 2017 she graduated with honours from Mount Saint Vincent University's Bachelor of Business Administration program with a major in Management Studies.
When she’s not keeping our patients laughing at the front desk, Nicole loves being outdoors, spending time by the water, camping, listening to music and visiting her hometown of Inverness to spend time with friends and family.
Nicole also loves animals, so feel free to bring your dogs into the office so she can play with them!
Dr. Lana Liable, TCMD, Acupuncturist
Dr. Lana Liable has always been fascinated with complimentary medicine and loves to share the importance of taking responsibility for our own health. As a licensed Chinese medicine doctor, she approaches each patient relationship as an active partnership utilizing acupuncture, herbal/supplement therapy, nutrition, exercise and stress management to support the patient in regaining optimum health and quality of life.
Dr. Lana comes to us from the open skies of the prairies and completed a five year doctorate in chinese medicine medicine at Oshio College of Acupuncture & Herbology, Victoria, British Columbia. She is a professional member of the Canadian Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Association of Canada and the Nova Scotia chapter of Canadian Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Association.
Dr. Lana looks forward to assisting you with your health needs and providing you with more than "just" a treatment but an ultimate healing experience towards better health.
Shallon Vickers, Registered Massage Therapist
Shallon Vickers has been a massage therapist for 15 years, working in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2003 with specialties in pregnancy, neurological and sports massage clinics.
Over the years, she has continued to expand her services to include Deep tissue, relaxation, Fire and Ice Cupping, Guasha and Indian Head Massage. In 2017, she became a certified Rapid Neurofascial Release Specialist – one of only 150 across Canada.
She has worked along-side chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopaths and physiotherapists. Shallon will be the perfect addition to our wellness family.
Jill Maclaren, Registered Massage Therapist
Jill Maclaren graduated from the Massage Therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2014. Prior to studying massage therapy, Jill attended St. Francis Xavier University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Kinetics with a major in Kinesiology.
Jill was first attracted to the field of massage therapy due to her love of sports. Through years of playing high-level rugby, she has had first-hand experience with injury rehabilitation and prevention.
Jill enjoys using a wide range of techniques to help patients on their road to recovery, including deep tissue massage and myofascial release. She has worked in various clinical settings and has experience treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including sports related injuries, repetitive strain injuries, postural imbalances and the aches and pains that accompany pregnancy.
Jill believes that massage therapy is important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle whether it’s part of a treatment plan for a specific injury, a preventative measure or a relaxation treatment. Jill will be an enthusiastic member of the Sound Chiropractic team and enjoys helping her clients achieve their goals. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her partner Brad, two children Piper and Ellie Mae as well as her dog Chief.
Hayley Dockrill Kew, Registered Massage Therapist
Hayley Dockrill has worked in massage therapy for 16 years, specializing in pregnancy, postnatal and infant massage. After graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2003, she began her own practice, where she enjoyed serving a wide variety of clientele.
Over the years, Hayley has expanded her knowledge and passion for working with families through specialized trainings. Hayley enjoyed a 14 year career as a birth and postpartum doula, recently taking a step back to focus on time with her young family. Because of this experience, she especially loves working with families to support them through their birth plans, the labour process and immediate postpartum period.
In 2015, Hayley started to explore the world of essential oils and became a doTERRA Wellness Advocate to support not only her own family, but also to have another natural modality to offer those interested in learning more. Hayley and her family are delighted to be back in Nova Scotia, and looks forward to working alongside other local chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopaths and other wellness professionals.
Rob Chisholm, Pedorthist
Rob is a true Gait assessment and custom orthotic specialist with a Canadian Certified Pedorthist C.Ped.C., designation. Rob opened the first of its kind Pedorthic specialty clinic in Dartmouth in 1999 and has always had his clinics within multi-disciplinary integrated health care models which broadens his clinical lens and keeps him accountable and connected to his physical medicine peer. This clinical environment also intimately connects his patients to the same speciality health care family where help, advise and other treatment options can be seamlessly integrated. Rob also has his own private orthotic lab which allows for hands on true custom orthotic management.
